H&M + Mango Haul

Hey everyone! I am so happy to be writing again and sharing this blog post today. I am still in England with my boyfriend, and I’ve recently purchased some new clothing items that I’ve fallen in love with. H&M has always been a favorite store of mine, and it just so happens to be a popular store over in the UK too! Most of these pieces are from there, however I also stopped in a store called Mango and saw a few items I really liked. My boyfriend actually purchased the item I will be sharing with you today! I’ve been very inspired lately, and maybe it’s the clothes, where I am in the world, or the amount of love I feel in my life, but whatever it is, I’m grateful for it all. Let’s get into the haul!

Sweater Vest £12.99

Sweater vests are very trendy right now, but to be completely honest, I didn’t think I’d ever wear one. I did not care for the style, however when I saw this one at H&M recently I thought maybe I would try to create an outfit with it! Plus, since it was so affordable, I thought I would be worth it. That’s one thing I love about H&M; the clothing is not crazy expensive, and often times the quality is great too! I love the simplicity of this sweater vest, and while there were many other options, I like to stick to neutrals most of the time because simple pieces like that will go with anything! This looked so stylish over a black turtleneck, but it could also be worn over a button-up top!

V-Neck Cardigan £14.99

Next I purchased this adorable white v-neck cardigan. I like the simple design and that the ruffles on the hem and sleeves add something a bit more unique. I also really like that it is a bit more cropped than a typical cardigan. It is a very flattering piece, and once again, white always looks beautiful! While it is a thinner material, you could wear many things underneath; a thin turtleneck or mock neck top, a skin toned tank top/cami, or even an everyday tank top. You could also later items on top of this in case it’s just a bit too cold where you are!

Houndstooth Skirt £5.00

I absolutely love the houndstooth print, and once fall/winter come around, this print seems to be everywhere you turn! I adore it because it always looks so classy. You don’t need to spend tons of money to look stylish or classy. It isn’t the warmest material ever, but it does not feel paper thin either. Worn over black tights or with knee/thigh high boots (with knee/thigh high socks) would be perfect too! I like the simplicity of the skirt with the added tiny slits in the front. Although this is considered a mini skirt, it does not feel too short or too long. I think it is the perfect length for a shorter skirt; classy yet fun!

White Button-Up Top £12.99

This is just a classic piece that I believe everyone should own. I was specifically looking for one when I walked into H&M, and there were quite a few to choose from; even some in different colors and lengths. I knew I wanted to go with white, and when I saw this one, I knew I had to have it. This top is 100% polyester but I love that it feels almost like satin. The one complaint with tops like these is that they wrinkle so easily, so I’ll definitely have to keep an iron handy when I plan to wear it. It is the perfect length; not too long or too short for me. It’s a staple that I can see myself wearing with so many different outfits. You can keep it casual and wear it with a pair of ripped jeans and sneakers, or tuck it into a nice pair of black ankle pants for a more professional look.

Cigarette Pants £17.99

A small story goes along with these pants. I saw these at an H&M and fell head over heels for them, however my size was not in stock. A few days later I went to a different H&M and yet again, my size was not in stock. I decided to try one more H&M and luckily enough, my size was there, so I purchased them straight away! I was so happy because I really do love the style of these. These look very chic, and they never seem to go out of style. They are called cigarette trousers, and I believe this style has been around and adored for decades! Of course, the print is houndstooth, but what I like about these in particular is that the print is not your typical black and white; it is black and beige. The colors go so well together, and these are also so very comfortable. I own a few pairs of ankle pants, and these have now been added to the collection. They may not keep you incredibly warm in the winter, but they are too cute to resist! They may be best for fall, depending on where you live in the world. You can wear these with pretty much any plain colored top (especially neutral colors).

Green Mock Neck Top £17.99

Lastly, I decided to stop in Mango to see what was available. I had never been in this store before, so I was curious. The prices seemed very reasonable, and I found many pieces that are very me! I ended up trying on a couple things, but I ultimately fell in love with this forest green mock neck top. My boyfriend and I really love this color, and we have been looking for a few items in the exact color for ourselves. After trying it on and loving it completely, my boyfriend was kind enough to buy it for me. I am very grateful (and hoping to return the favor soon)! The material is so nice as well, and this is such a perfect layering piece! You can wear it under a cardigan, a blazer, or a nice coat. The color is stunning for fall and winter, so you truly can’t go wrong.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about these new purchases! I always love shopping at H&M because there’s always something new to fall in love with, and chances are you will be able to afford it! Thank you for reading, and have a great day! Check out my Instagram @sacchere14 for a reel I created styling these pieces.

Business Casual Outfit Ideas + Tips

Hey everyone! I am very excited to share this blog post with you all! I absolutely love looking polished and put-together, so I came up with five different business casual outfits. Whether you work in an office or you are beginning your first internship, these outfit ideas should spark some inspiration.

Depending on where you work, there may be specific rules when it comes to professional attire. You can very easily add or change certain pieces in each of these outfits if they do not follow your specific guidelines.

I know that I did not include a dress or skirt in this post, and this is mainly because I don’t feel that I own a dress or skirt that is necessarily “professional.” If I owned a simple black, navy, or nude dress/skirt that was about knee length, I definitely would have included it! If you prefer skirts and dresses (as I often do), you can definitely choose to wear them rather than pants!

You will notice that the color pattern I tend to stick with when it comes to business casual is black, pink, gray, nude, and navy. Although it is often best to stick to neutrals, I do like to include a few colors. The ones I chose are professional, and in my opinion, they make the outfits a bit more fun. Check out my Instagram: @sacchere14 to see a fun transition video I created while wearing these looks!

Here are the five outfits I put together…

Outfit #1:

For this look, I went with a navy and white top. These two colors always look so beautiful together. What I love about this top is that it can be worn casually, or you can dress it up. It is perfect for so many different occasions. I added a simple black blazer because you would most likely have to cover up a bit more. I love a nice blazer, and I like to wear them often, even for the most casual activities. I went with a nice pair of gray, patterned ankle pants. The pattern is not over the top or too bold, but it adds a bit of flair to the look. I decided that my nude block heels looked best with this outfit.

Outfit #2:

For this outfit, I wanted it to be a bit more girly yet still professional. I chose this light pink collared top. Collared tops are perfect for the workplace, and this one is a bit more fun with the ruffled sleeves and the zipper detailing in the front. If needed, I would recommend a black of gray blazer as well. I chose a pair of slim black ankle pants to go with the top. For my shoes, I decided on my black block heels (a pair of neutral flats would look great too).

Outfit #3:

This look is for those of you who prefer something comfortable yet still pretty. I chose a black pussybow top. I love the sleeves on this top because they flare out at the end, and I have such a love for big sleeves! It is great because it looks professional and stylish at the same time. If you aren’t a fan of blazers, this kind of top is perfect for you because it keeps you covered without the extra layer. For my bottoms, I went with the same gray patterned ankle pants from the first outfit. Lastly, to complete the outfit, I chose my black block heels (once again, neutral flats would be a great option as well).

Outfit #4:

This look is the most bold out of the five, however I feel that it still gives off a professional vibe. I wanted to include it in case the rules at your workplace are a tiny bit more casual. For my top, I have a long sleeved pink turtle neck. I feel that turtle necks, mock necks, and high necklines in general look very professional and they make any outfit more polished. I then added a patterned blazer. This may be a bit bold, but you can always use a neutral colored blazer (such as black or gray) instead. For my bottoms, I chose a simple pair of black ankle pants. I love the look of a sleek pair of pants, and these are pretty comfortable as well. Lastly, for my shoes, I chose the same pair of black block heels (again, if heels aren’t your thing, you can wear a neutral colored pair of mules or loafers). If you are going to add color to your business casual outfits, try to stick to one item of clothing and keep the rest of the outfit neutral.

Outfit #5:

I think that this last outfit is my favorite of the five! I love that it is simple yet classy and put together at the same time. For this look, I chose a gray, mock neck sweater. The material of this sweater is light, so it wouldn’t be too hot, but it would still keep you warm if your workplace is a little cold. I paired this top with my favorite ankle pants. I adore the windowpane pattern of these pants, and the navy and white look beautiful paired with the gray top. If the pattern is too bold for you, a nice pair of black pants, or a skirt would look just as nice! I decided to go with my nude block heels to complete the look!

Tips for women:

Stick with neutral colors for the most part

Wear heels that aren’t too tall or if heels aren’t your thing, a nice pair of mules, loafers, or ballet flats would be perfect

Wear a blazer or a nice cardigan over a tank top/sleeveless top

Ankle pants/capris are a stylish yet professional choice

Skirts and dresses should be 4 inches above the knee at most (knee length is perfect)

Go for a nice blouse

Nothing too tight or short

Keep the jewelry minimal and simple

Avoid bright colors

Avoid sneakers and flip flops

Tips for men:

Neutral colors are best

Sweaters, button ups, or collared shirts are the best options

Dress slacks or semi-formal pants

Tie-up shoes and loafers

Avoid t-shirts and sweatshirts

Try to stay away from very bold prints and patterns

Avoid  boots and flip flops

There are definitely ways to look fashionable while wearing business casual attire. It isn’t too complicated to know whether or not something is inappropriate for the workplace, however I felt that sharing a few outfits and tips would be helpful, especially for those of you who are just starting out in the workplace.

I hope you enjoyed today’s blog post! Thank you so much for reading!

OOTD: Whirlwind Winter

Winter is in full swing but that won’t stop me from wearing dresses! Luckily where I live it doesn’t get absolutely freezing in the winter. Winters where I live usually look like 40-50 degree weather. Recently, I decided to check out one of my favorite stores, H&M. As I was shopping, I found this dress and quickly fell in love with it.

This dress is a part of the Richard Allan X H&M: Wearable Art collection and I purchased it for $18. I also saw a shirt with this same pattern at the store, but of course, I chose the dress. After doing a quick google search, I found that Richard Allan was a famous scarf designer during the swinging sixties in London. H&M describes the pieces in this collection as, “Abstract, avant-garde design in high-octane color.”

This dress is perfect for the winter time, and I love the unique pattern as well as the sleeves! It definitely reminds me of the sixties. My mother even described it as “hippie-ish”. The pattern is incredibly bold, so I like that the colors are more neutral (pink, gray, white, and black). I feel that this dress is perfect for most occasions and could be worn for anything from work to a girl’s brunch. I wore this dress for lunch with my family this past weekend. I am almost always overdressed, but at this point I’m so used to it!

I paired this dress with my black knee-high boots that I purchased a couple years ago from Charlotte Russe. As I have mentioned before, these are pretty much my go-to shoes in the fall/winter. Underneath the boots, I wore some knee-high socks to stay warm. Wearing knee-high socks also keeps the boots from slipping down my legs.

As for jewelry, I am wearing these beautiful gold fringe earrings and these two simple gold rings. These pieces were my mother’s but she let me have them a few years ago. I wear the two gold rings every day. Lastly, I wore a simple pair of black sunglasses that I purchased from H&M.

Thank you so much for checking out my newest blog post! I hope you’re all having an amazing day! Until next time!

OOTD: Christmas Eve

There is nothing more stunning than a red dress, especially during the holidays! Today I wanted to share a Christmas Eve OOTD (outfit of the day) with you all because I recently purchased the most beautiful dress.

This is the “Dance of Romance Red Lace Cold-Shoulder Midi Dress” from Lulus.com! When I was online shopping for some holiday outfits, I came across this dress on sale for $18. If you read my Thanksgiving OOTD, you would know that Lulus has quickly become one of my favorite online stores!

I paired this outfit with these simple black block heels that I bought on Amazon last year (I am not too sure of the price, but they may have been around $20-$30 dollars). The heels are by the brand “Madden Girl”.

I typically prefer to wear gold jewelry, however I felt that silver matched the dress better! I wore a simple pair of diamond earrings and a silver bow ring. Lastly, I took this sequin clutch that I purchased at TJ Maxx to complete the look! (For a few more photos of this outfit, check out my Instagram: @sacchere14.)

It is actually an incredibly beautiful day out (65 degrees)! Although I wish it were a bit colder so that it would feel more like Christmas, I’m glad I did not freeze in this dress! I think that I have only experienced a few white Christmases in my life, and it is something I wish I could experience more often.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and I hope that you are spending time with the people you love most! Enjoy every moment, and I will be back to chat with you all in a couple days! Thank you for reading! Merry Christmas!

Holiday Outfit Ideas

Whether you are attending a holiday party or you’re simply spending time with family and friends like me, you may be unsure about what to wear. I know that for some people, the idea of dressing up can be a bit stressful, especially for bigger events, so today, I am here to help! I have put together three different holiday outfits to wear for any occasion! Whether you would describe your fashion sense as “casual” or “classy”, these three outfits should spark some inspiration!

This first outfit is for those of you who prefer a more classic look. You can never go wrong with black and white. I think that these two colors always look good together, and this outfit may be my favorite of the three! I first took some simple black pants and paired them with a long sleeved black top with pearl accents. I then took a white peacoat to wear on top. Lastly, I wore my black knee-high boots (which you will see me wear quite often in the winter time).

Next up, I have an outfit that is for those of you who don’t really love to dress up and prefer a more casual or comfy look. First, I took a pair of dark wash jeans and paired them with a simple white sweater. If you are a fan of color, and you want to stand out a bit more or feel more festive, a red or green sweater would look just as nice! I then took a pair of faux leather boots to match the outfit. With a simple outfit like this one, I recommend accessorizing with a shiny pair of earrings or a nice necklace. You can also add a scarf to the outfit for a cozier feel.

And lastly, this outfit is for those of you who like to have a bit of fun with fashion, and would describe your style as “girly” or “trendy”. This is a beautiful red off the shoulder dress with a scalloped neckline. I wore this dress a couple years ago for Christmas Eve and I still adore it to this day. I paired it with the same knee-high boots from the first outfit!

Whenever I want to wear dresses or skirts in the winter, I’ll typically pair them with my knee-high boots. Since it can get pretty cold where I live at times, I always wear knee-high socks with my boots to stay warm. Even though it’s not much, it still helps (plus, I don’t spend a ton of time outside in the winter anyway, so when I do, I bundle up and rush inside!)

I hope that these outfits gave you a bit of holiday fashion inspiration, and I hope that these tips were helpful! And if you still want to wear sweatpants and hoodies instead, trust me, I feel you! Let me know which outfit is your favorite in a comment below. Thank you so much for reading!

OOTD: Thanksgiving 2019

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American readers/followers! I hope that you are having a beautiful day full of family and good food! Today I wanted to share my Thanksgiving OOTD (outfit of the day) with you! I know to some it may seem silly to dress up when you are only going to be in your dining room all day, but still, I enjoy dressing up and looking put together all of the time!

This outfit of the day is going to be pretty simple. I recently purchased this jumpsuit from Lulus.com (a new favorite store of mine)! This is the “Lace and Lies Terra Cotta Crochet Lace Cropped Jumpsuit”. I purchased this jumpsuit for $16.00! When I was online shopping for some holiday outfits, I happened to come across this jumpsuit and I knew I had my Thanksgiving outfit. Not only is this outfit comfortable for me to lounge around in while waiting for Thanksgiving dinner, but it is also fashionable and perfect for the end of fall!

As someone who has an absolutely terrible shopping addiction, it is important for me to find stores that have affordable yet stylish pieces, and Lulus.com has quickly become one of my favorite places to shop! This is where I bought the “Someday Swoon Royal Blue Embroidered Midi Dress from my “End-of-Summer Blues OOTD”! I also purchased a dress that I will share with you on Christmas Eve, so stay tuned for that!

On Thanksgiving Day, my family always wakes up to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I will usually eat a very small breakfast and we won’t eat very much at all until the dinner is ready! I spend Thanksgiving with my immediate family. I have a pretty big family, so they are all I need! I love being able to spend a day at home, just relaxing and eating some good food with the people I love the most! (Not going to lie, I am so excited for Black Friday shopping too!)

I am grateful for my family, my friends, my health, my education, and of course all of you! I really appreciate those of you who read my blog posts and follow me! It means so much and I love being able to write and share what’s in my heart with the world. I hope that I can continue to inspire you and help you on your journey to confidence!

Thank you for reading! Leave me a comment below and tell me what you are thankful for, and what your favorite Thanksgiving food is (mine is mashed potatoes and we make a delicious meat stuffing every year)!

How to Transition Your Wardrobe From Summer to Fall

Today I wanted to share a few tips on how to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall! I am so over the heat at this point and I am ready to start busting out my sweaters and knee high boots, but it is still around 80-90 degrees where I live (it is cooling down a bit though)! I decided to share three different outfits to wear when it isn’t cool enough out for jackets and scarves, but it is just starting to cool off enough to take some of your staple fall pieces and incorporate them into your wardrobe!

If you haven’t been able to tell already from my ootd’s (outfit of the days), I love wearing dresses! If it is warm out, you will probably see me wearing a dress. I bought this dress almost a year ago and I am just now getting the chance to wear it. (I think it’s because I buy way too many clothes, but that’s beside the point!)

The first thing I do when summer ends, is I start incorporating fall colors into my wardrobe. By wearing colors like navy, olive, burgundy, maroon, or mustard, you will be using your wardrobe to transition into fall seamlessly.  The outfits will feel and look a lot more fall-like than if you were to wear bright colors like you would in the summertime! I paired this dress with my favorite ankle boots at the moment. Booties are the perfect addition any outfit in the fall, and they are a staple piece in my wardrobe for this season!

This second outfit is one of my favorites! I paired a very simple and basic piece with a fancier statement piece from my wardrobe. If you’re a fan of florals and you just don’t want to let them go, you can absolutely wear them all year round! If you want to wear florals in the fall, make sure that the colors of the clothing are seasonal. These wide leg capri pants are the perfect way to wear floral prints while still incorporating the color burgundy, which is my favorite fall color. They are also flowy and not made of an incredibly thick material, so I won’t get too hot! Underneath is just a simple black body suit. I wore these beautiful taupe heels as well. I also decided to wear a cardigan with this outfit because it gives the look a bit more of a cozier feel.

And lastly, I wanted to share a bit more of a casual outfit for those of you who aren’t very girly. If you wore crop tops all summer long and you want to wear them in the fall, you still can! I wore this olive green crop top with a pair of blue high waisted jeans. I also put on these brown heels that were in my “Coral Me crazy” ootd. If you want an even more casual look, swap out the heels for a stylish pair of sneakers! I took the same gray cardigan from the previous outfit and paired it with this outfit as well. I don’t own one at the moment, but I think that a brown fedora screams fall! A hat like this would be perfect with the navy blue dress or the outfit pictured below.

I hope that you found these tips helpful, and if you’re still dealing with 80-90 degree weather like me, don’t you worry, we will all be complaining about the cold weather soon enough! Thank you for reading!
