Fashion Picks for my Everyday Style

I love looking put together and styling different outfits. This has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl; the only difference is my style is much better! Today, I am going to break down my go-to clothing and accessories that make up my everyday look.

There are certain items of clothing that I will never wear outside of the house. I always say that I have to look “decent” before going out. This doesn’t mean going full glam 24/7, but it does mean no sweatpants, pajamas, or old, unflattering clothing outside of the house. While it many not seem like it, I definitely have quite a few casual days too!

Now, I have mentioned this before, but I find it difficult to describe my style. I am constantly changing up my looks, from girly and chic to casual and cool. I can be really bold and out there, and other times I like to keep it simple. It honestly depends on so many things! If I had to use a few words to describe my style, I would say vintage inspired, feminine, and bold. I find myself always going back to a feminine and classic look.

This outfit perfectly captures my go-to glam look (not necessarily my everyday look).

Clothing

Crop tops

Crop tops have been in style for quite some time now, and I have been a fan since day 1. I know that they can be worn very casually, but I have found ways to wear them and make them look classy (see photo above). It depends on the style and color! I own quite a few crop tops, and I’ll typically wear them all year round (but even moreso throughout the spring and summer time)!

High waisted bottoms

Ever since high waisted bottoms have come back in style, I have been completely obsessed! I feel that they are flattering on so many body types! If I decide to wear jeans, they are always high waisted. The same can be said for shorts, and even some skirts! Plus, crop tops look best with high waisted bottoms. When pairing the two pieces together, you really can’t go wrong.

Midi dresses/skirts

Most of the time, especially in the warmer months, I’ll opt for skirts or dresses over pants or shorts! I absolutely love how effortless dresses are, and they can be so easy to style! I love the classy look of a midi dress/skirt. They aren’t too short, and they aren’t too long. They perfectly end mid-calf.

Accessories

Block heels

While flats are incredibly comfortable, and I choose them over heels often, there is something about heels that I just love. While I love the look of stiletto heels, I am terrified of falling in them! Plus, I don’t think I could walk in them very easily! I am a big fan of chunky/block heels. These are much easier to walk in, and they are still very stylish. In the spring and summer, I’ll wear strappy block heels, and in the fall and winter you’ll see me rocking chunky booties!

Gold dainty jewelry

I used to be a big fan of silver jewelry, but in recent years, gold has become my go-to. I still wear silver, depending on what looks best with my outfit! I also used to love chunky jewelry, and now I absolutely adore the look of dainty pieces. I’ll typically wear dangly earrings, simple bracelets, a dainty necklace, and my 2 gold rings.

I always have to laugh when my family and I go out together because 80% of the time, I am overdressed compared to the rest of them! I never really mind though, because I love dressing up (even if it is just to go out to eat on the weekends). I always say that I wish I had big, fancy events to go to because then I could dress up all the time and have a real reason for it! Some people say that they save fancy outfits for special occasions, well, I’m the type of person who feels that life is a special occasion!

I hope you’re all having a beautiful day! Thank you so much for reading!

OOTD: Fluent in French

There are many things that come to mind when I think of Paris, however one of the biggest is, of course, fashion! While traveling to France over spring break, I purchased a few clothing items and I have been dying to share them with you! So, what better way to do that than an outfit of the day?

I have always been a very observant person, so in the midst of enjoying the beautiful buildings and attractions in Paris and Lyon, I obviously noticed what people were wearing. While some locals were dressed a bit more casually, I saw many who, in my mind, looked exactly how I expected them to look. Elegant, classy, and chic. The women looked very put together and stylish, and the same could be said for the men. French casual is VERY different from American casual, to say the least. By looking at the locals, shopping, and browsing through the boutiques, I found my inspiration for a Parisian outfit.

I want to start by talking about one of my newest obsessions. While shopping on the Champs Elysees, a few of the girls and I decided to stop by Zara. I know that this is a store I could shop at in America, but I do not believe there is a Zara near me! I can honestly say that I never imagined I’d be wearing a skort again, but here we are! This is the Buttoned Skort in Black. I fell in love with this the second I saw it. I knew I needed to have it. The button details as well as the hints of silver and gold are stunning. I bought this skort for €19.95 in a size small. This piece does not necessarily give off a “Parisian” vibe, however I HAD to include it in this outfit because I am so in love with it!

For my top, I wanted to wear something simple. I am wearing a black, cropped bustier top. I purchased this top from PacSun for about $35 in a size medium. I was debating whether or not to wear a white or a black top, but I ultimately decided that the black top looked best with this outfit!

And now, my favorite souvenir. One thing that I was searching for on my trip was a nice brown trench coat. When I think of French fashion, the first thing that pops into my head are trench coats. I really wanted this to be my biggest souvenir. The trip was almost over, and I had yet to find a trench coat in my price range. I found that many of the trench coats I was looking at were a little too pricey for my budget. While touring through Old Lyon, my friend and I decided to stop by a store called Pimkie, which I believe is the European equivalent to H&M. As soon as we walked in, I spotted a beautiful light brown trench coat. This coat is a bit thinner than the others that I found, which means it can be worn pretty much all year round. I paid €50.00 for this coat, and it is in a size small.

For my shoes, I decided to wear my black pointed toe ankle boots. I purchased these last fall from Forever 21.  I feel that these shoes were the perfect choice for this outfit because pointed toe shoes always look classy and the locals seemed to love ankle boots as well!

As for the accessories, I wanted to share the most important piece that completes this look: A black beret. Call me cliché, but I knew I couldn’t leave France without buying one… or two! I actually thought that the locals did not wear berets, and that it was a style that tourists took over. However, I actually saw quite a few of the locals wearing them!

Thank you so much for reading! I may not be fluent in French, but I am definitely fluent in French fashion! 😉

OOTD: Christmas Eve

There is nothing more stunning than a red dress, especially during the holidays! Today I wanted to share a Christmas Eve OOTD (outfit of the day) with you all because I recently purchased the most beautiful dress.

This is the “Dance of Romance Red Lace Cold-Shoulder Midi Dress” from Lulus.com! When I was online shopping for some holiday outfits, I came across this dress on sale for $18. If you read my Thanksgiving OOTD, you would know that Lulus has quickly become one of my favorite online stores!

I paired this outfit with these simple black block heels that I bought on Amazon last year (I am not too sure of the price, but they may have been around $20-$30 dollars). The heels are by the brand “Madden Girl”.

I typically prefer to wear gold jewelry, however I felt that silver matched the dress better! I wore a simple pair of diamond earrings and a silver bow ring. Lastly, I took this sequin clutch that I purchased at TJ Maxx to complete the look! (For a few more photos of this outfit, check out my Instagram: @sacchere14.)

It is actually an incredibly beautiful day out (65 degrees)! Although I wish it were a bit colder so that it would feel more like Christmas, I’m glad I did not freeze in this dress! I think that I have only experienced a few white Christmases in my life, and it is something I wish I could experience more often.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and I hope that you are spending time with the people you love most! Enjoy every moment, and I will be back to chat with you all in a couple days! Thank you for reading! Merry Christmas!

Holiday Outfit Ideas

Whether you are attending a holiday party or you’re simply spending time with family and friends like me, you may be unsure about what to wear. I know that for some people, the idea of dressing up can be a bit stressful, especially for bigger events, so today, I am here to help! I have put together three different holiday outfits to wear for any occasion! Whether you would describe your fashion sense as “casual” or “classy”, these three outfits should spark some inspiration!

This first outfit is for those of you who prefer a more classic look. You can never go wrong with black and white. I think that these two colors always look good together, and this outfit may be my favorite of the three! I first took some simple black pants and paired them with a long sleeved black top with pearl accents. I then took a white peacoat to wear on top. Lastly, I wore my black knee-high boots (which you will see me wear quite often in the winter time).

Next up, I have an outfit that is for those of you who don’t really love to dress up and prefer a more casual or comfy look. First, I took a pair of dark wash jeans and paired them with a simple white sweater. If you are a fan of color, and you want to stand out a bit more or feel more festive, a red or green sweater would look just as nice! I then took a pair of faux leather boots to match the outfit. With a simple outfit like this one, I recommend accessorizing with a shiny pair of earrings or a nice necklace. You can also add a scarf to the outfit for a cozier feel.

And lastly, this outfit is for those of you who like to have a bit of fun with fashion, and would describe your style as “girly” or “trendy”. This is a beautiful red off the shoulder dress with a scalloped neckline. I wore this dress a couple years ago for Christmas Eve and I still adore it to this day. I paired it with the same knee-high boots from the first outfit!

Whenever I want to wear dresses or skirts in the winter, I’ll typically pair them with my knee-high boots. Since it can get pretty cold where I live at times, I always wear knee-high socks with my boots to stay warm. Even though it’s not much, it still helps (plus, I don’t spend a ton of time outside in the winter anyway, so when I do, I bundle up and rush inside!)

I hope that these outfits gave you a bit of holiday fashion inspiration, and I hope that these tips were helpful! And if you still want to wear sweatpants and hoodies instead, trust me, I feel you! Let me know which outfit is your favorite in a comment below. Thank you so much for reading!

OOTD: Does it Come in Black?

Hey everyone! I wanted to share an ootd (outfit of the day) with you today because I am obsessed with this look that I put together!
There is something about wearing all black that makes you feel powerful. I created this look using a couple new additions to my wardrobe!

First, we need to talk about this shirt! This is the “Illusion Sweetheart Crop Top” in black. I purchased this adorable top from Forever 21 for $22 this past summer, and I am just now getting around to wearing it! I love the polka dot mesh and the ruffle combination!

I then paired this top with these belted high rise ankle pants from Charlotte Russe. I bought these pants right before the store closed. If you weren’t aware, Charlotte Russe went out of business earlier this year. They used to be my favorite store, but now that they’re back, I haven’t heard many great things about them. If I do decide to shop at Charlotte Russe again, I will let you know what I think of the quality of their clothing!

Next, you may be familiar with this jacket since it was in my “Finally Fall OOTD”. I will most likely be wearing this piece all season! It is the “Faux Leather Hooded Moto Jacket” in camel/gray. I purchased this jacket from Forever 21 this past summer for $15.

And lastly, my other recent purchase, these ankle boots! These are the “Faux Suede Booties”, also from Forever 21. I had been looking for a nice pair of pointed toe ankle boots for a while now, so when I came across these I had to have them! I paid around $20 for these shoes!

I truly believe that you don’t have to spend a ton of money to look put together or fashionable. I am not too sure how much the pants I am wearing cost, but they were most likely no more than $20, making this outfit’s total come to around $80.
I love planning and putting outfits together and being able to share them with you! Thank you so much for reading!

How to Transition Your Wardrobe From Summer to Fall

Today I wanted to share a few tips on how to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall! I am so over the heat at this point and I am ready to start busting out my sweaters and knee high boots, but it is still around 80-90 degrees where I live (it is cooling down a bit though)! I decided to share three different outfits to wear when it isn’t cool enough out for jackets and scarves, but it is just starting to cool off enough to take some of your staple fall pieces and incorporate them into your wardrobe!

If you haven’t been able to tell already from my ootd’s (outfit of the days), I love wearing dresses! If it is warm out, you will probably see me wearing a dress. I bought this dress almost a year ago and I am just now getting the chance to wear it. (I think it’s because I buy way too many clothes, but that’s beside the point!)

The first thing I do when summer ends, is I start incorporating fall colors into my wardrobe. By wearing colors like navy, olive, burgundy, maroon, or mustard, you will be using your wardrobe to transition into fall seamlessly.  The outfits will feel and look a lot more fall-like than if you were to wear bright colors like you would in the summertime! I paired this dress with my favorite ankle boots at the moment. Booties are the perfect addition any outfit in the fall, and they are a staple piece in my wardrobe for this season!

This second outfit is one of my favorites! I paired a very simple and basic piece with a fancier statement piece from my wardrobe. If you’re a fan of florals and you just don’t want to let them go, you can absolutely wear them all year round! If you want to wear florals in the fall, make sure that the colors of the clothing are seasonal. These wide leg capri pants are the perfect way to wear floral prints while still incorporating the color burgundy, which is my favorite fall color. They are also flowy and not made of an incredibly thick material, so I won’t get too hot! Underneath is just a simple black body suit. I wore these beautiful taupe heels as well. I also decided to wear a cardigan with this outfit because it gives the look a bit more of a cozier feel.

And lastly, I wanted to share a bit more of a casual outfit for those of you who aren’t very girly. If you wore crop tops all summer long and you want to wear them in the fall, you still can! I wore this olive green crop top with a pair of blue high waisted jeans. I also put on these brown heels that were in my “Coral Me crazy” ootd. If you want an even more casual look, swap out the heels for a stylish pair of sneakers! I took the same gray cardigan from the previous outfit and paired it with this outfit as well. I don’t own one at the moment, but I think that a brown fedora screams fall! A hat like this would be perfect with the navy blue dress or the outfit pictured below.

I hope that you found these tips helpful, and if you’re still dealing with 80-90 degree weather like me, don’t you worry, we will all be complaining about the cold weather soon enough! Thank you for reading!

Basic Pieces Every Girl Needs in Her Wardrobe

Whether you are just getting into fashion and have no clue where to start, or you’ve been trendy since your toddler years, sometimes it is important to get back to the basics. Your closet does not have to be overflowing with clothing for you to be able to look put together or stylish, however there are some pieces I find myself reaching for all too often. These are some items that I believe EVERY girl should have in her wardrobe:

. A black, white, and nude colored tank top

Why?

These pieces are so important for layering, particularly in the Fall in Winter. If I decide to wear a sweater, there is a really good chance that I will grab a tank top to put on underneath, especially if it is freezing outside. If you live somewhere warmer, this may not be essential, however, tank tops can be worn under many outfits and black, white, and nude are colors that go with everything!

. A black t-shirt and a white t-shirt

Why?

Once again, plain t-shirts are great for layering, and you can actually spice up a simple white or black tee in many different ways. Are you a jeans and t-shirt type of gal? You’ve got an outfit! Are you more of a trendsetter? You can definitely make a t-shirt more fashionable as well. (I may end up making a post all about this!)

. A nude bra, a black bra, and a strapless bra

Why?

I cannot tell you have many times I have bought a shirt and thought to myself, “I don’t have a bra that looks good underneath this!” What I have found is that there are a few types of bras that are essential in my wardrobe, and will most likely be in yours too! Now, I know it can be tempting for some people to buy that hot pink polka-dot bra from Victoria’s Secret, however I would try to lean toward buying a simple nude, black, or even white bra. No matter what shirt you put on, one of these colored bras is not going to be seen underneath. Is the outfit a bit sheer? No need to worry! Another bra to get your hands on is a decent strapless bra (ugh, I know, but bear with me). There are many tops or dresses that I absolutely love, but as I try them on I notice one thing that stands out: the straps of my bra. This may not be a big deal to some, but it is something that I personally do not like the look of. If you can relate, try a nude colored strapless bra!

. A LBD (little black dress)

Why?

Last minute wedding or party invite? Surprise date night? A little black dress can solve all of your problems! Black is a color that looks great on everyone and there are many different styles to choose from. Casual, classy, fancy, or fun, there’s a LBD for any and every occasion! Find one that makes you feel comfortable and confident!

. A great pair of jeans

Why?

Denim can be expensive, and sometimes it can be difficult to find a pair that hugs you in all the right places (my fellow weight lifters can definitely understand this one)! Like little black dresses, there are a variety of styles to choose from. My personal favorite are high waisted jeans. There are also different shades of denim, so I would suggest having a great light wash and a great dark wash. Everybody needs that go-to pair that they feel their absolute best in. It may take a while to find a pair you love, but you will! (And once you do, you may want to buy them in every shade!)

. Black pumps and everyday nude heels

Why?

As I have gotten older, black heels have become something that I reach for pretty often. As a college student, there are certain pieces that you just need to have. There may be some events you attend where there is a dress code, such as a meeting or an interview. They can also just make any outfit a bit more polished and classy. Like black heels, nude will go with anything! I suggest having a casual pair of nude heels in your wardrobe for the days when you want to dress up a bit more. Make sure you can comfortably walk in the heels that you choose, and make sure that they don’t give you blisters because that is the WORST!

. A nice pair of sneakers

Why?

I have two pairs of sneakers for two very different occasions, but I find that both are worn so often because they are so easy to slide on and they go with most casual outfits. If you are an avid gym goer like myself, you need a pair of gym sneakers. I actually only have one pair and they are by Nike. They are a simple black and white (to match everything), and I wear them every gym day, when I go hiking, or when I just want a more casual look. Then, I have a white pair of sneakers that could be worn any day, but they look much cuter with casual, everyday outfits. My white Adidas are the perfect spring/summer shoe, and they can be worn with a t-shirt and jeans, or a cute and simple dress. I would suggest having a sneaker for more athletic activities, and a sneaker for everyday wear. (Make sure both pairs are comfortable!)

. A leather and/or denim jacket

Why?

I am a BIG fan of leather jackets, even moreso than denim! However you do not need to have both if you aren’t a fan of one or the other. A leather jacket can make any look go from casual to badass in seconds (I have a black leather jacket and a brown and they both give off very different vibes, but I adore both)! They may even be my favorite clothing item (besides boots) for the Fall and Winter! A denim jacket is perfect for Spring and Summer, and can be worn with anything! I personally think that denim jackets look best over a simple dress, however you can’t really go wrong when it comes to a denim jacket!

. A black blazer

Why?

As I have gotten older, this piece has almost become an essential. Again, being in college there are certain items that I need pretty often, and a simple black blazer is one of them. I have attended multiple events where it was important to show up in business casual attire, and honestly wearing a blazer makes me feel 10x more confident and like I can take on the world (just make sure that it isn’t too big or too small)!
