Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and if you’re anything like me, you have probably had your outfit picked out weeks ago. If you have no idea what to wear, fear not! Today, I am going to be sharing four different outfit ideas for Valentine’s Day! Whether you are going on a date or heading off to class, one of these outfits should spark some V-Day inspiration!

Outfit #1:

Let’s start off with something fun. If you’re heading out for a date or a girls night, this outfit is for you! You can never go wrong with a little black dress. If you are a bit more bold and you prefer to wear more color, a red or pink dress would be beautiful as well! I chose black because I typically prefer more neutral colors, plus I get to have a bit of fun with my makeup and accessories this way! With this black dress, I thought that a simple pair of black block heels looked gorgeous. Lastly, I paired this outfit with a sequined clutch. (If I were going to wear this outfit, I would most likely do a natural eye look and a bold pink lip!)

Outfit #2:

This outfit is for those of you who may be working or going to a business casual event on V-Day. I absolutely love this outfit! I would wear this any day! For this look, I paired some black ankle pants with a long sleeved pink turtle neck. I have such a love for blazers, and I feel that blazers can instantly transform a look and give the outfit more of a professional vibe. I love the pattern of this blazer, and I think that it makes the outfit a bit more unique and stylish. For the shoes, I went with these black pointed toe ankle boots. These have been one of my latest obsessions, and I always find myself reaching for them.

Outfit #3:

This next outfit is for those of you who aren’t very girly or those of you who prefer a more casual look. For this outfit, I wanted to go for something simple. I paired a pink v-neck tee with a pair of dark high waisted jeans. I love white shoes, and I think that my white Stan Smith’s looked best with this outfit. I really like this look because it is very simple, yet by wearing pink you will still feel like you’re in the Valentine’s Day spirit! If pink is not your color, you could wear red or even purple! You could also throw on a neutral colored cardigan (such as black or gray) for a cozier feel.

Outfit #4:

This last outfit is most likely what I will be wearing (or at least something very similar). I love dressing up, but since I have no Valentine’s Day plans, I will most likely be going to class, going to work, and then spending the rest of my day at home. My style tends to change day to day, but for the most part, I love feminine or vintage-inspired pieces. For this look, I took this cropped white top with pink roses on it and put it over a black tank for layering. I am so obsessed with the bell sleeves on this top! I paired this piece with ripped high waisted jeans and simple black flats.

I hope that this post was helpful to you and that it gave you some Valentine’s Day inspiration! I had a lot of fun creating these 4 very different looks for you all. It’s funny, I feel like all of these outfits are very much my style. I would wear every single one (depending on the occasion of course)!

OOTD: Whirlwind Winter

Winter is in full swing but that won’t stop me from wearing dresses! Luckily where I live it doesn’t get absolutely freezing in the winter. Winters where I live usually look like 40-50 degree weather. Recently, I decided to check out one of my favorite stores, H&M. As I was shopping, I found this dress and quickly fell in love with it.

This dress is a part of the Richard Allan X H&M: Wearable Art collection and I purchased it for $18. I also saw a shirt with this same pattern at the store, but of course, I chose the dress. After doing a quick google search, I found that Richard Allan was a famous scarf designer during the swinging sixties in London. H&M describes the pieces in this collection as, “Abstract, avant-garde design in high-octane color.”

This dress is perfect for the winter time, and I love the unique pattern as well as the sleeves! It definitely reminds me of the sixties. My mother even described it as “hippie-ish”. The pattern is incredibly bold, so I like that the colors are more neutral (pink, gray, white, and black). I feel that this dress is perfect for most occasions and could be worn for anything from work to a girl’s brunch. I wore this dress for lunch with my family this past weekend. I am almost always overdressed, but at this point I’m so used to it!

I paired this dress with my black knee-high boots that I purchased a couple years ago from Charlotte Russe. As I have mentioned before, these are pretty much my go-to shoes in the fall/winter. Underneath the boots, I wore some knee-high socks to stay warm. Wearing knee-high socks also keeps the boots from slipping down my legs.

As for jewelry, I am wearing these beautiful gold fringe earrings and these two simple gold rings. These pieces were my mother’s but she let me have them a few years ago. I wear the two gold rings every day. Lastly, I wore a simple pair of black sunglasses that I purchased from H&M.

Thank you so much for checking out my newest blog post! I hope you’re all having an amazing day! Until next time!

Holiday Outfit Ideas

Whether you are attending a holiday party or you’re simply spending time with family and friends like me, you may be unsure about what to wear. I know that for some people, the idea of dressing up can be a bit stressful, especially for bigger events, so today, I am here to help! I have put together three different holiday outfits to wear for any occasion! Whether you would describe your fashion sense as “casual” or “classy”, these three outfits should spark some inspiration!

This first outfit is for those of you who prefer a more classic look. You can never go wrong with black and white. I think that these two colors always look good together, and this outfit may be my favorite of the three! I first took some simple black pants and paired them with a long sleeved black top with pearl accents. I then took a white peacoat to wear on top. Lastly, I wore my black knee-high boots (which you will see me wear quite often in the winter time).

Next up, I have an outfit that is for those of you who don’t really love to dress up and prefer a more casual or comfy look. First, I took a pair of dark wash jeans and paired them with a simple white sweater. If you are a fan of color, and you want to stand out a bit more or feel more festive, a red or green sweater would look just as nice! I then took a pair of faux leather boots to match the outfit. With a simple outfit like this one, I recommend accessorizing with a shiny pair of earrings or a nice necklace. You can also add a scarf to the outfit for a cozier feel.

And lastly, this outfit is for those of you who like to have a bit of fun with fashion, and would describe your style as “girly” or “trendy”. This is a beautiful red off the shoulder dress with a scalloped neckline. I wore this dress a couple years ago for Christmas Eve and I still adore it to this day. I paired it with the same knee-high boots from the first outfit!

Whenever I want to wear dresses or skirts in the winter, I’ll typically pair them with my knee-high boots. Since it can get pretty cold where I live at times, I always wear knee-high socks with my boots to stay warm. Even though it’s not much, it still helps (plus, I don’t spend a ton of time outside in the winter anyway, so when I do, I bundle up and rush inside!)

I hope that these outfits gave you a bit of holiday fashion inspiration, and I hope that these tips were helpful! And if you still want to wear sweatpants and hoodies instead, trust me, I feel you! Let me know which outfit is your favorite in a comment below. Thank you so much for reading!
